On September 13th, JinkoSolar was honored with the 2023 Global Sustainable Company Award for Net-Zero Emissions by Environmental Finance, establishing itself as a trailblazer in the ESG development of the photovoltaic industry.

Net-zero emissions have become the guiding principle embedded in JinkoSolar's DNA. Since 2019, Jinko Solar has been the first enterprise in the photovoltaic industry to join the RE100 and EP100 initiatives, committing to becoming a 100% renewable energy user by 2028. Moreover, the company solemnly pledged to participate in the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), aiming to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions throughout its value chain by 2050.

In 2022, JinkoSolar conducted a comprehensive greenhouse gas emissions inventory, encompassing both upstream and downstream assessments, providing the groundwork for setting ambitious emissions reduction targets and formulating a clear roadmap. By the end of 2022, JinkoSolar had successfully installed a total of 102.07 MW of solar photovoltaic power generation systems on the roofs of its plant buildings. Coupled with measures such as waste heat recovery systems and air compressor cooling conversion, this led to a reduction of approximately 32,800 tons in CO2 emissions.

With a steadfast commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, JinkoSolar is not only revolutionizing its own sustainable operational model but also playing a crucial role in global climate solutions.
